Overview

Located in the heart of Atlanta’s Midtown district, a mano delivers an inviting and genuine Italian dining experience that balances rustic charm with contemporary comfort. This Italian restaurant, situated at 587 Ralph McGill Blvd NE, serves as a go-to for both casual lunches and intimate dinners.

The cuisine here shines through a menu that respects tradition but embraces creative flair. Standout dishes like the Cacio E Pepe, with its perfectly al dente spaghetti, bold black pepper, and sharp pecorino, highlight the kitchen’s commitment to authentic Italian flavors made approachable. The Burrata paired with grilled sourdough bread offers a luscious, creamy contrast enhanced by aged balsamic and smoked sea salt, a dish that has garnered notable praise for its freshness and balance.

Beyond pasta, a mano explores diverse Italian influences through expertly crafted sandwiches such as the Meatball Parmesan and the Cuban, alongside heartier entrees like the Flank Steak Frites and Chicken Parmesan. Seafood selections like Charred Octopus and Scallop Fusilli add a coastal dimension to the menu, appealing to diners seeking variety.

The ambiance is relaxed and warm, accommodating a diverse crowd—from families enjoying the outdoor garden space (complete with cooling fans, making it perfect for even the youngest guests)—to couples and groups hunting for a lively yet comfortable setting. The service is consistently noted as attentive and personable, enhancing the dining experience with genuine hospitality.

Complementing the food, the bar offers a well-curated selection of drinks including unique cocktails like the Tequila Flight and classic Whiskey Sour, alongside thoughtfully chosen red wines that pair seamlessly with the meal. This combination of quality and creativity keeps patrons coming back, who appreciate both the value and the generosity of portions.

While most reviews celebrate the menu’s authentic flavors and the overall inviting atmosphere, a few have mentioned occasions where seasoning veered toward the salty side or dessert pricing felt steep. However, these minor critiques do little to diminish the strong appeal of a mano’s offerings. It stands out as a place where Italian culinary tradition meets approachable dining, making it a favorite among locals seeking an unpretentious yet refined meal in Midtown Atlanta.

For those in search of an Italian restaurant that balances authenticity with comfort, emphasizing quality and thoughtful service in a vibrant urban setting, a mano is a notable destination worth exploring.

Great quality pasta and other dishes and wine pours at reasonable price point, good portions. Authentic focaccia, pasta al dente. Will return for dinner. Lunch was one appetizer, three entrees, 3 glasses of red wine... $97 before tip. Here are our lunch pasta entrées but the dinner menu pic.

It is an Italian restaurant in Midtown Atlanta, where you can enjoy delicious Italian food casually and comfortably. Among the menus I had, Brata salad was the most delicious. The pasta on the lunch menu was a little bland to my taste, but it's not that it's not bad. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant that's not formal and comfortable, I recommend it.

The food and staff were amazing! We had such a great time. The cocktails were unique and the food was high quality but reasonably priced. We need more places like this around us.

We are in the garden which was perfect with an infant. The fans kept us cool. Our sever was excellent. We enjoyed bolognese, salmon, aglio de calibrese. The buratta and beet salad was excellent.

Enjoyed the excellent service with phenomenal cocktails and great dishes. Only downsides was the rather salty pasta dish (2nd time now) and the overpriced cheesecake ($14). Besides, as always a lovely dinner with great staff taking care of the guests

Super delicious and very yummy first experience at a mano! Everything was sooooooooo fire. We had the burrata and fig salad to start. The scallop and carbonara pasta dishes were excellent. Perfect portion sizes. The 95.5 the beet drink was also excellent - like a red juice with tequila.. healthy and fun. Service was wonderful. Definitely make a reservation. Highly recommend if you are in the Atlanta area! We will for sure be back to try the rest of the menu!

I visited a mano for the first time a couple of weeks ago! Food: The food was mostly great. For our appetizers we got the Burrata and Truffle Fries. The Burrata was the best Burrata I've ever had in my life hands down. Sooooo delicious. For our entrées, I got the Fusilli E Scallops and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan, both of which were delicious. The portion size of the Fusilli E Scallops is not the biggest, but it is perfect for one person, especially if you also plan to get appetizers and dessert. The Chicken Parmesan is MASSIVE and delicious. I preferred his dish over mine, but both were really good. For dessert we got the Strawberry Crumb Cake, and it was just okay. My boyfriend also ordered the Banana Daq 3000 for his drink, which has Haitian rum, Montenegro, banana, lime, Chardonnay cordial, and toasted sesame. We both agreed that the drink was also just okay. If we came again we probably would try a different drink. Service: The service was the downfall of our evening. We waited for 40 minutes before anyone even came to our table take our order. It was a busy evening and our server was the bar tender so we tried to be understanding, but we were confused as to why we were assigned the bar tender as our server since he was very busy. Throughout the night, 3 different servers ended up helping us but the service was painfully slow. Everyone was very nice, but we do wish we didn't have to wait so long to order or get our waters refilled. Since the food was good, I would visit a mano again to see if the service is any different. Atmosphere: Very cute, cozy, and fun atmosphere. I loved the lighting and layout of the restaurant. TLDR: Great food, dessert was okay, painfully slow service, cute atmosphere. I wouldn't mind giving this place another try to see if the poor service was just a one-off event.

My husband and I went to a mano for our wedding anniversary and we loved every minute. Liz was very kind and attentive, the food was delicious as it usually is and we even got a bouquet of yellow flowers as we requested, which are super significant to us personally. We have come to a mano several times in the past and were really disappointed with a previous birthday experience that just wasn’t what we usually get when we come here. I’m happy to say they turned it around and really gave us the a mano experience we have come to love.
